About Me
Hi, I’m Francesca and I’ve been living in Auroville since 2012. In recent years I have had many work experiences. And the ones I brought with me from Italy had the opportunity to evolve here in substantially different and more creative terms. In this adventure that I have called Gate of Dreams, the name of which I owe its inspiration to Sri Aurobindo’s poem Savitri, I wanted to collect, and will continue to collect, some of the experiences I have gained over the years and the different skills developed by my youth till today. Some of these are related to my passion for art and creativity, such as theater (which was my job in Italy) and creative writing. Others to the love towards the Mother and Sri Aurobindo, who always guide and inspire me. Still others are related to my personal healing journey, such as EFT. I have collected them all here to make them available to the Community.
I have great enthusiasm, a strong creative drive and a great desire to invent new paths in a world in constant and rapid transformation. There are many things learned in the course of this life, and many I still want to learn. My aspiration is to share them with you.
Creativity has always been my main quality. But it hasn’t always been easy to express it, because I was born and raised in a context that didn’t favor it. And this is why I very well know its importance and role in our every-day life. Creativity is a human gift, a characteristic common to everyone and on which mankind will increasingly need to draw from. Today the world is undergoing a major transformation. Transformation is the key word to interpret and explain the post-contemporary. The human race is racing towards its future. Today’s reality changes at an impressive speed. Those who resist change remain attached to reference models that are now outdated and therefore no longer stable nor solid. The risk is to be crushed by the wheel of change impetuously spinning today. Anyone who does not adapt creatively and quickly to the flows of the overwhelming energies is left behind, ending up becoming a sort of ancient museum artefact that can only serve as a testimony of bygone times. This is an evolutionary challenge that can understandably arouse fear or enthusiasm. Or maybe both.
In this context it is therefore of vital importance to apply oneself in unlocking one’s own creative potential (without creativity there’s no active adaptation) and at the same time putting it into service of a deep aspiration, entrusting oneself to a Guide within which is less and less mental and more and more Intuitive. This is the attempt in which I launch the Gate of Dreams adventure, which is the website of my little activity in Auroville. Whose services are essentially addressed to Aurovilians, Newcomers and volunteers.
In my journey, the two paths (that of creativity and that of spirituality) have been going together for about 25 years now. I very well understand that the mind, in order to draw on the New Creativity, must increasingly open itself to the spheres that are superior to it. The Overmind, as well as the Shakti’s action in our earthly sphere, furnish it with a very refined food. To which, however, our ordinary mind is still progressively adapting and opening up. We can help Her in this process by becoming aware of our surrender role and consciously favouring its development.
The world is changing rapidly. Spiritual surrender and creative attitudes are necessary for our further development on this Earth. Let’s accept the challenge. Although it sometimes seems very hard to endure, we have all the resources and aid to face it. Victory, as the Mother said, is certain.
